The Friendly 401(k)

Benchmarking

Our first effort on your behalf will be to benchmark your plan. It is strongly recommended by the DOL that the trustee periodically assure that the cost of the plan is fair considering the overall benefits of the plan to the employees. That is not to say the plan must be the lowest cost; just fair considering the benefit. Many advisors charge up to $10,000 for such a benchmarking, but we are offering to benchmark pricing in your plan at no charge if you are willing to change advisors if we are successful in reducing plan costs. Once competitive pricing is established, in many cases the incumbent provider will adjust pricing to keep the plan. Through this process, the participants become the big winners. Meetings

We are willing to meet in person depending on your wants and your needs, but we use Zoom primarily to keep our cost down and your fees lower. And with many companies having employees working from home, the office and other temporary locations, most companies appreciate our one-on-one approach to employee interactions. Because of Zoom meetings, we maintain as close touch as you want. (Click here to learn more)

Fees

Our benchmarking effort has shown many companies a reduction in plan costs by more than 15%. We are so sure we can do the same for your plan that we are happy to make our no fee guarantee. The “Friendly 401(k)” No Fee Guarantee**: AG will lower your overall plan fees or we will provide our proprietary “Financial Coach” program for one year at no charge. Click Here To Learn More

** No disclaimer because participants need more help to prepare for retirement. 20% savings in fees translate to larger account balances and a better lifestyle in retirement. Add in our proprietary “Financial Coach” program to help with better participant financial decisions, and we provide reasons beyond lower fees and trustee fiduciary responsibility to change plan providers. If we cannot save 20% or more in fees by changing to the TAG “Friendly 401(k)”, we will support your existing plan with our Financial Coach program at no charge for one year. Trustee-Focused

Plan design and fiduciary responsibility/risk are two of the most important areas of opportunity and concern for plan trustees. TAG Wealth Advisors takes this aspect of your plan very seriously, and we assure our clients that our efforts will revise build plan metrics that will meet the needs of the company and the plan participants. Coaching

Our proprietary Financial Coach program was designed to help plan participants with questions they may have about their financial well-being. The program has become even more successful than expected, and has taken responsibility off the plan trustee and administrator to provide help they are not trained to respond to. The time saved by passing this responsibility to the Coach enables more time devoted to their primary job function and enhance profitability.

The Financial Coach is also our personalized one-on-one education vehicle. And when the Financial Coach is just not enough to fill the needs of a full retirement plan, TAG Wealth Advisors offers our planning service to plan participants at one half of our normal fee. And when a participant resigns or retires, they can continue our coaching or planning services for a monthly subscription fee. Click here to learn more

Fiduciary Responsibility/Risk

A fiduciary is a person who holds a legal or ethical relationship of trust with one or more parties. TAG Wealth Advisors share this trust relationship with the plan trustee and other plan decision makers to the plan participants. We take this position of trust seriously, and it affects our actions when advising on all aspects of the plan. Trustees and co-fiduciaries take comfort in our involvement and our actions to help protect them. Click here to learn more

Administrator-Focused

Our effort is to reduce internal administration as much as possible. We can help with out-sourcing administrative task to third-party providers if desired, or help streamline this function. Click here to learn more

Fees

Our fee structure is flexible. Our lowest fees include our fiduciary responsibility to the plan and to your employees, education and the Financial Coach. The larger the asset base, the lower the fees. The more technology we use, the lower the fees. Click here to learn more

Participant-Focus

Retirement plans are for the employees. We work very hard at turning all employees into plan participants. Once they become plan participants, we work hard to educate them to be more prudent in their retirement planning. We engage each employee as deeply as they are willing by involving family if allowed. For those participants that have an advisor, our Financial Coach program offers a second opinion. For those that don’t have an advisor, we become a resource that can make a difference. If desired, we even offer a planning service that can last as long as they like; even after terminating employment or retirement. Our goal is to help them attain a successful outcome, and gain independence for their post earning years. Click here to learn more

More Savings

Lower plan costs mean more of a participant’s deferral goes where it should; toward a better retirement. Even if you have done a recent benchmarking, the efficiencies we bring to the plan space and the advice we provide through the Financial Coach program are able to lower fees and improve outcomes in more situations. Ten Reasons to Change Plan Advisors

  1. We’ll fix your plan if our benchmarking shows a need, or red flags become apparent.
  2. We’ll show you how your plan ranks when compared to peer companies, and recommend design improvements that will help with employee retention.
  3. Total fees are low (see reason #10) because of operating efficiencies; putting more of their deferral into the participant accounts.
  4. We have been advising companies and participants in company retirement plans for 22 years
  5. We are advisors first, ERISA plan specialists second. We focus on the primary reason for the 401(k) plan; to prepare your plan participants for their independent years without sacrificing the fiduciary requirements of the trustee(s) and administrator(s).
  6. Company profits are increased because plan administration time is minimized due to automated syncing with your payroll provider or payroll department.
  7. Your employees inherit their own personal “financial coach” for ongoing advice.
  8. We work with all of the major retirement plan providers, and understand the strength of each and the niche they fit.
  9. We benchmark the plan investments with industry peers to assure the best investment options for the participants.
  10. The “Friendly 401(k)” No Fee Guarantee**: TAG will lower your plan fees or we will provide our proprietary “Financial Coach” program for one year at no charge.
